Artistic Journey

Around the world in eighty days? Not quite. Joan Henninger has been enjoying an artistic journey for most of her life. On display now until July 5th are the fruits of that journey. The opening reception on June 13th was a well attended, enjoyable event with Kristen Mulligan Exposito’s lovely music adding to the pleasantry. If you did not make the opening, you should make the effort to visit the Market Street Art Spot to partake in Joan’s continuing artistic journey.

Happy Birthday to Us!

On Friday, February 8th, 2013, you could find the Market Street Art Spot glowing with excitement!  It was the celebration reception of our 2nd anniversary of bringing quality fine art to Minerva and surrounding area.  Resident Artists – Marty Chapman, Laura Donnelly, Joan Henninger, Ruth Koomler, Dona McCloskey and Michelle Mulligan –  along with intern, Isaac Stanley collaborated on turning dried gourds into fanciful and beautiful creations especially for the exhibit.  Also available are ticket-raffle baskets to assist the Minerva YMCA (this month’s sponsor) in providing funds to send two kids to Y Camp.  Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5 and will be available for sale until March 2nd. MSAS appreciates all who braved the threatening weather conditions to join in the celebration!  Many thanks to the Minerva YMCA for its generous support in sponsoring the MSAS for each of our anniversaries!!
