Thankful Journey

November being the month for “thanksgiving”, it is appropriate for us to say THANK YOU to all who came to visit  the “Pathways, Crossroads, Detours” opening reception on the 14th. The steady stream of patrons, many of them newcomers, were treated to a gallery full of great art, fine music and tasty refreshments. In case you were one of the unlucky ones who missed the reception, the work of Featured – Resident Artist, Michelle Mulligan, will be displayed in Gallery A of the MSAS through December 6th.

Pathways, Crossroads, Detours

“Pathways, crossroads, detours…life is a journey full of options. We set our foot to the path and onward we travel. Likewise, the creative quest. Whether by the path of familiarity, the crossroad of a new direction or the detour of a forced change, we forge ahead accumulating experience for future steps. My artistic sojourn, represented in this exhibit, expresses both, comfortable and newly explored territory.”

Please join us as the MSAS features one of our very own Resident Artists, Michelle Mulligan. Opening reception from 5 to 9 pm on Friday, November 14th, is sponsored by the Minerva Area Federal Credit Union.  Refreshments will be served. Kristen Mulligan Exposito will be on keyboard providing musical entertainment.

None of Your Beeswax?

It COULD be yours!  t cook3

The beeswax works (otherwise known as encaustics) of Therese Cook will be featured at the Market Street Art Spot now through October 5th.

” I am a self-taught artist. Six years ago, I attended an encaustic workshop and have been hooked on the medium ever since. The encaustic process is challenging, exhilarating, inspiring and exciting, making a painting that can be looked into as well as looked at. I love the luminosity of the wax and vivid colors.”

Artist’s reception: Friday, September 13th, from 5 to 9pm.  Music by Roger Romeo and light refreshments. Sponsored by Summit Glove of Minerva.
